Resurfacing with Microconcrete

During your kitchen renovation, there's no need to replace your countertops to achieve the luxurious look you desire. Our specialists can simply apply a thin layer of microconcrete, giving your kitchen countertop or island a completely new style. Available colors include anthracite, pearl, aluminum, ivory, platinum, and carbon. You can choose between a matte or glossy finish.

Microconcrete is known for its high abrasion resistance, and extensive tests have been conducted by the manufacturer to confirm this. Additionally, this material is chemical-resistant. The microconcrete layer can be applied to countertops made of MDF, HDF, wood, metal, glass, gypsum, concrete, masonite, ceramic, laminate, or melamine, even if they are painted. We protect the microconcrete layer with a sealant that makes it waterproof.

Application Method

Resurfacing a kitchen countertop with a layer of microconcrete involves several steps. We first protect the surfaces that are not to be resurfaced, then clean your countertop with a special cleaner that prepares the surface for microconcrete application.

We mix the concrete with water, then apply it in circular motions. We then wait for 15 to 30 minutes for the concrete to set, after which we smooth and level the surface.

A second layer can be applied after a few hours, once the concrete is completely dry. After twelve hours, we sand the surface to ensure a smooth finish. We then apply a concrete sealer to protect it from moisture and water. Your countertop will be ready for use a few hours later.
